ABSTRACT: In this paper, the aeroelastic flutter characteristics of supersonic composite laminate were analyzed. An equation of motion of the structure was established by using the Hamilton Principle, and the damping ratio of the structure system was further deduced. First, by studying the changes in natural frequency and damping ratio of the structure system with dimension less pneumatic pressure, an analysis on flutter of the laminate structure was conducted. Then, the vibration characteristics of the laminate near the flutter point was discussed, when the pneumatic pressure of the structure reached the critical flutter pneumatic pressure, the originally convergent vibration response became divergent. Finally, the effect of different incident flow angles on the flutter characteristics of supersonic composite laminate was studied. The results showed that different incident flow angles had a significant influence on the flutter characteristics of supersonic composite laminate.
